Zhixing "Technology X Business" Technology Entrepreneur Gathering Account
On September 24th, the Zhixing "Technology X Business" Research Institute held the opening ceremony of the 2022 Science and Technology Innovation Base in Shenzhen.
The guests in attendance include Li Zexiang, co-founder of XbotPark, Yao Xiaoxiong, chairman of Shenzhen Angel Investment Guidance Fund, and Wang Lei, former student and founder of unicorn Zhenghao Innovation. In addition, Li Wei, founder of Songhe Capital, Cheng Xiaohua, secretary general of Shenzhen Angel Association and founder of Langke Investment, Ai Min, chairman/founder of Rice Venture Capital, Li Jixiang, chairman of Gaolue Capital, Xu Yunqi, deputy general manager of Shenzhen Angel Fund Management Company, and Chang Huili, deputy general manager of Shenzhen Angel Fund Management Company's Collaborative Development Department, attended as special guests. Professor Gan Jie, the initiator of the research institute, gave an opening speech.
The predecessor of Zhixing Research Institute was the Smart Manufacturing and Entrepreneurship MBA (METI) program initiated by Professor Gan Jie in collaboration with XbotPark. METI is a master's program that combines engineering, business, and entrepreneurship incubation. It has held three sessions with a total of 90 students. The core project of Zhixing, "Science and Technology Innovation Base," is further iterated on the basis of METI, focusing on the commercial growth of science and technology innovation enterprises. Through unique coaching style courses and one-on-one tutoring, entrepreneurs can understand the underlying logic of products and business, draw on the best practical experience, and further enhance their cognition in their own practice.

At such an important moment, An Yi, the founder and general manager of Pepper Gray Technology, spoke as a representative of the new students at the opening ceremony. Mr. An reviewed his personal journey of choosing entrepreneurship and pointed out that technology entrepreneurs need to "achieve independent and autonomous capabilities in many fields with a width of only one centimeter and a depth of one kilometer".

At this moment, it is the pinnacle
Good morning, teachers and students from Zhixing Technology x Business Research Institute -2022 Science and Technology Innovation Base. I am An Yi, the founder and general manager of Pepper Gray Technology. Today, I am honored to give you a brief sharing.
When Teacher Cheng asked me to share, I agreed without hesitation, thinking it was very simple. But when I started thinking seriously about what to say in these 8-10 minutes, I suddenly realized that I didn't know where to start.
Today, everyone comes from different backgrounds, industries, age groups, and experiences. We are so different, but we must have some similarities here. I think we are all entrepreneurs and a group of people who love to learn. Entrepreneurs in the media and in the minds of the public seem to be a label, a group of people, and even carry some aura.
My own entrepreneurial time is very short, just over a year. Before starting my own business, I was very certain that working was the best choice. I have also joked with the bosses of listed companies in person, saying that those of us who are good at studying, earn millions of yuan a year, and live comfortably, only crazy people want to start a business. But if you can't study or earn money by working, you have to start a business and suffer hardships. But a year ago, when I realized that the only thing that could make me happy was to do what I thought was right with a group of people I admired, instead of living in a first-class cabin, five-star hotel, Maotai, or club, entrepreneurship had become the only choice, rather than an option that could be used to compare the pros and cons.
So I cleared all of my assets, invested all of my funds and connections, and at the same time, had debts of tens of millions. I moved into a farmer's house and picked up books on materials engineering again, starting our new business of breaking foreign monopolies - the creation of a high-power chip heat sink project.
I am exactly 40 years old this year, and it took me 40 years to understand the meaning and value of my life, which shows how foolish I am. Living in today's China, we are in an unprecedented global economic landscape. The trade war has become the third world war, and this war without gunpowder will affect our country, nation, and everyone for a considerable period of time in the future. Due to the impact of the pandemic, many people say that this year has been difficult, but it is very likely to be the best year in the next 10 years. I think this statement is too pessimistic. Pessimists are often correct, but optimists succeed. What I mean by success is not about making a company big, going public, or making a lot of money. This single dimensional success may have been a mainstream value in society for the past 30 years. But today, the trade war has made the entire country realize that we need to achieve our independent and autonomous capabilities in many areas that are one centimeter wide and one kilometer deep, so that we have the opportunity to work with excellent international resources and promote the development of our country and the progress of the world to a greater extent.
This process must be full of hardships, and it is likely a mission that will take several generations to complete, so we all need to have a calm mind. The homework we need to fill now is not the gap between ourselves and Europe, America, and Japan, but the homework that the country owes in the past 50 or even 300 years, including the lack of many core materials, core equipment, industrial software, and even international friend circle resources.
Life is short, if we understand our mission and the shared mission of several generations, we will not be anxious about short-term results. I often tell myself that the primary task is to live, and to live with passion, give it my all, and put in no less effort than anyone else. Enjoy every day of hard work and struggle, remember that this moment is the pinnacle of our lives, not an IPO, not a mansion, yacht, or private jet. Many real estate developers have achieved these things, but they are worthless in the face of a trade war. I tell myself that our generation should play the role of stepping stones, enjoy the process of hard work and struggle, give ourselves great recognition, always maintain awe and humility, persist in learning until the moment of death. As long as we make valuable contributions to the progress of our country in this field in our lifetime, it is a successful life, a life full of meaning.
